Wardyński & Partners, one of Poland’s largest and oldest independent law firms, has joined Central Europe Energy Partners AISBL (CEEP) as an affiliated member.
According to CEEP CEO Janusz Luks, “The events of the year now coming to a close show that issues connected with the energy sector and energy-intensive industries are among the most important fields of the European Union’s activity—from the Energy Union initiative of the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, to issues connected with the North-South Corridor, climate policy, and related cases before the European Court of Justice connected with market stabilisation reserves. The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership free-trade agreement currently being negotiated between the EU and the United States also requires a balanced legal perspective. For organisations like ours, this will be a crucial time as we battle for Central Europe to be treated as a partner in terms of its needs and conditions. To pursue this effectively requires a strong team of legal experts. With Wardyński & Partners joining our team, we have gained great reinforcement.”
Janusz Luks pointed out that the other law firm member of CEEP, Clifford Chance, had contributed significantly to the substantive work of the association in the past year.
Wardyński & Partners lawyers are active members of Polish and international legal organisations, such as the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association, which provide them access to global knowhow and help them develop contacts with leading professionals around the world—a peer network that can prove invaluable to our clients as well.
The firm is regarded as a congenial place to work. We support our lawyers in their efforts to achieve professional, business and social growth, through such initiatives as continuing legal education and training in management skills.
