The European Policy Centre and Central Europe Energy Partners are delighted to invite you to this Policy Dialogue.

In its response to diverse opinions about the applicability of the EU law on off-shore pipelines, the European Commission proposes to revise the Gas Directive in order to extend EU Internal Market rules to all import pipelines. The amendment is said to target the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, a project which is particularly contested as it contradicts key EU objectives of the Energy Union.

This Policy Dialogue aims to better understand the background, rationale and content of the Commission’s proposal, the risks it aims to tackle and the potential impact on existing and future infrastructure.
